I hold a Masters of Science degree in mathematics and have worked as a research scientist in physics for over twenty years - the point being, I suppose, is that I have had formal training in the scientific method. I also hold a Masters of Business Administration degree with an emphasis on finance. As in any burgeoning bull market, many analysts and columnists jump on the band wagon and target their commentary so as to exploit the excitement, but lack the fundamental knowledge of the sector to properly inform their audience.
